Peel and slice the bananas.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over low heat. Brown the bananas for about 30 minutes until golden.
Finely chop the onions and garlic. Sauté them in the remaining oil in the same pan.
Add a little water and stir to combine.
Incorporate the browned bananas into the onion-garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 15 minutes.
