Le Café des femmes, the Malongo grand cru produced by Dominican women coffee farmers

This International Women's Day celebrates all those who, around the world, give of themselves and of their voice to affirm who they are and to bring about positive change in society. Some do not hesitate to take part in physical activities that require a certain robustness, such as coffee growers in tropical regions. The Nice-based SME Malongo has decided to honor these courageous women and more particularly those from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic with the release of a fair trade grand cru coffee exclusively produced by these workers.

"Honey and dried fruit" notes

This 2018 Vintage, simply called "Le Café des femmes", is the result of a collaboration with ADOMUCA (Dominican Women's Coffee Association), which supports women coffee farmers producing quality hand-harvested Arabicas. The Malongo product itself is described as having "a powerful filtration with an assertive character, but also warm, charming and bewitching" with "sweet honeyed and dried fruit notes". The grand cru coffee is available on the e-shop and in the stores of the brand at the price of €9.90 per 250 grams. We don't know about you, but we're tempted to compose with the 100% feminine beverage in the morning!
