Orange Yuzu:indigo shade tea is all the rage

New drink conducive to beautifying Instagram accounts spotted! And it's from the latest hot spot in Los Angeles:Pearl's Finest Teas, a tea bar in West Hollywood. The place, which opened recently, seems to know the recipe for success:trendy decor with its fuchsia pink palm leaves on the walls, distribution of the latest hits and… cocktails that hit the spot! Among these, the Orange Yuzu is unanimous among more and more customers. At its base, the hibiscus flower, is added another flower:the blue pea. And it is one of the key ingredients, since it gives the drink its lovely indigo color.

A 100% natural color gradient

Because it is its color gradient that seduces (first) the customer. Its creator, Phong Trinh, did not wish to reveal the secret of the recipe, but the site Popsugar gathered some clues:a dose of orange syrup, then one of orange juice, two spoons of yuzu jam (an Asian citrus hybrid of mandarin and lemon). Mix everything, add ice cubes and pour in the hibiscus/blue pea-based tea mixture (integrated into the tea in the form of powder or drops). Tadaaa! It should be noted that the magnificent color gradient obtained - indigo / purple / orange - is 100% natural, no dye is added to the composition. As for the taste, the site specifies that it resembles “lemonade lemonade”, with “tangerine nuances”, and a slightly spicy aftertaste. Last but not least:the Orange Yuzu, in addition to being refreshing, is as “beautiful as it is good”. It makes you want!

If we don't go to Los Angeles, we might try the recipe at home...
