Ingredients for the Donuts
- 500 g flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 175 g caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
- 15 cl milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
For Decoration
Ready-made colored sugar paste: Candy Melts in red, white, brown, blue, yellow, purple, and pink to create beloved Disney characters.
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs. Add sugar and vanilla until thickened.
- Incorporate milk, melted butter, then the flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- On a floured surface, roll dough to about 1 cm thick.
- Use a bowl or cookie cutter to shape the donuts.
- Fry for 1 minute until lightly browned. Flip with a slotted spoon and cook the other side for another minute.
- Remove from oil and drain on absorbent paper.
Decorate following the model or your own inspiration! Melt the Candy Melts as per package instructions and let creativity flow. Use a piping bag for details like buttons on Mickey's shorts, Minnie's flower, and Donald and Daisy's bow ties.
