Spooky Halloween Treats for Kids: Easy Chocolate Orange Cake and Monster Marshmallows

1. Fruity Orange Chocolate Cake

Ingredients: 200g dark chocolate, 4 eggs, 125g butter, 200g powdered sugar, 100g flour, 1 packet baking powder.

Recipe: Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6). Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and stir in the butter until smooth.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, baking powder, and flour. Fold in the chocolate mixture for a smooth batter. Pour into a buttered mold and bake for 25 minutes, until just set.

Once cooled, slice the cake horizontally into two layers. Spread Bonne Maman's L'Orange Fruitée Intense generously between the layers and on top. Use melted chocolate to create a fun monster face—perfect for little helpers!

2. Decorated Marshmallow Skewers

Ingredients: 50g dark chocolate, 1 pack marshmallows (budget-friendly option: Repère E. Leclerc brand), wooden skewers, fine brush or toothpicks, decorated polystyrene half-sphere in Halloween colors.

Recipe: Thread marshmallows onto skewers and insert into the prepared half-sphere base. Melt chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave (short bursts). Pour into a small dish.

Get creative with your kids—use the brush or toothpicks to paint chocolate faces, turning marshmallows into goofy monsters. A quick, mess-free Halloween craft!
