4. Bairro Alto
Bairro Alto doesn't sound exactly Dutch. Yet the name (literally:upper city, in Portuguese) is appropriate, because this small cozy coffee and lunch bar (see photo at the top of this article) is located higher up in the old part of the city, just behind the busy Grote Markt. .
