Eating out when you're on the line

With these tips you will have a pleasant evening, without sinning too much.

1. View the menu at home
Many restaurants have the menu on their website. Check it out at home so you know what to expect.

2. Dare to ask
See a tasty dish on the menu, but the side dish or sauce doesn't seem tasty (or too unhealthy) to you? You can always ask if the dish can be served with other vegetables.

3. Ask for the sauce or dressing separately
You can decide for yourself how much of it you use.

4. Order two starters
Do you think a starter and main course are too much? Order two starters, often that is just the right portion.

5. Consciously decline things
Knock the basket of bread before putting it on the table. Would you like something to nibble on? Ask for a bowl of olives.

6. Focus on your company
You are not only for eating in a restaurant, the conviviality is just as important. Eat consciously, but don't let food be the center of the evening.
