Sparkling fun without alcohol:Mojito Mocktail

Perhaps the most refreshing trend:cocktails without alcohol – so-called “mocktails”. Natural mineral water makes it a tingling pleasure and increases drinking pleasure with slim 'zero calories'. It also provides valuable minerals and trace elements.

The English word “to mock” means something like “to deceive” or “imitate”. It's not for nothing that the "mocktail" is at least as advanced as its high percentage equivalent. Then it may be something more. Whether it's a barbecue evening or Sunday brunch, relaxing with friends or family, it's all about the right mix, and just a few ingredients are enough. Fruits, syrups and spices offer plenty of options for exciting creations from sweet to lemony.

Homemade in no time Raspberries and elderflower syrup give the Mojito Mocktail its special taste. Natural mineral water even plays a double role in the aromatic thirst quencher – as a base for the mixed drink and in the form of “crushed ice”.

For 2 servings:
2 limes
2 stalks of mint
2 tbsp brown cane sugar
1 tbsp elderflower syrup
Crushed ice made from still mineral water
2 tbsp raspberries (frozen products)
500 ml sparkling mineral water

Preparation:
1. Rinse limes with warm water, pat dry and cut into wedges. Wash the mint and shake dry.

2. Put the lime wedges together with the cane sugar in two glasses and puree them. Tap the mint on your hand or squeeze a little and put it in the glasses as well. Add the syrup, crushed ice and raspberries, then pour in the mineral water. Mix carefully, serve – and enjoy ice-cold!

Our tip: Tapping on the mint allows the essential oils to develop better. The advantage of crushed ice:the crushed ice cubes together form a larger surface, the drink is cooled faster.
