When shopping, it's not always easy to find ripe tomatoes.
Especially at the beginning of the season...
If you find some nice, cheap tomatoes, but they aren't ripe enough, don't hesitate to buy them.
You will be able to apply this market gardening trick in your kitchen:newspaper!
1. Take some newspaper.
2. Wrap each tomato in a sheet of newspaper.
3. Arrange the tomatoes in a wooden crate. Make no more than two layers of tomatoes.
4. Ideally, put the crate in a room at 15°C max, in the shade.
5. If you don't have such a place, simply store your crate in the kitchen.
6. Wait 2 or 3 days.
There you go, your tomatoes have ripened faster :-)
