Classic Vanilla Peach Compote Recipe – Simple & Delicious for 6

  • 1 kg peaches
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 glass water

Halve the peaches and remove the pits.

Blanch the halves in boiling water for a few seconds to loosen the skins for easy peeling.

Combine the water, sugar, and split vanilla pod in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.

Add the peeled peaches once boiling. Simmer gently, covered, for 20-30 minutes, keeping the fruit whole.

Remove the peaches to serving bowls. Reduce the syrup, then pour over the fruit to cover.
