Peel and chop the kiwi fruits. Peel and trim the pineapple, then cut it into pieces the same size as the kiwi.
Thread the fruits alternately onto mini skewers.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the skewers on each side. Crush 2 star anise and 2 cinnamon sticks, then sprinkle over the skewers.
Drizzle with cane syrup and let caramelize.
Drain the skewers, arrange two per plate, drizzle with the reduced syrup, and garnish with whole star anise and cinnamon sticks.
