Who doesn't love unwrapping a Milka chocolate bar? For the first time, Milka tapped into Dutch creativity last September, inviting fans to dream up new flavors. The response was overwhelming: over 60,000 submissions poured in. From these, two standout Dutch-inspired creations emerged as winners—'Our Coffee Date' and 'Our Apple Pie Moment of Enjoyment.' These aren't just flavors; they're personal stories captured in chocolate, now available as limited-edition bars across the Netherlands and 15 other European countries, including Belgium and France.
Memorable moments often tie to cherished scents and tastes, so Milka asked Dutch fans to craft a bar evoking their special memories. In total, 63,817 flavor ideas arrived, featuring 35,625 unique combinations and 47,942 original names. The victors? Two heartfelt, distinctly Dutch profiles with tales printed right on the packaging.

This bar blends apple pie, speculaas spice, and caramel—submitted by 22-year-old Lorenzo from The Hague. Drawing from family traditions, his pick channels grandmother's kitchen magic.
“The aroma of my grandmother's homemade apple pie takes me back to joyful family gatherings. Her secret recipe with caramel and spiced biscuit, plus those warm moments around the table, inspired this Milka flavor."

Created by 27-year-old Annelize Wessels from Zwolle, this combines coffee and biscuit for the perfect end-of-day ritual.
“After a demanding day, nothing beats cozy couch time with my loved one. These tender evenings sparked this new Milka delight.”
You Had Me at Cookie Dough
Flavor creators selected from nearly 80 ingredients, from licorice and bubblegum to red pepper and pretzels. Yet Dutch fans favored familiar picks: cookie dough, white chocolate, brownie, caramel, and salted caramel topped the list. Tastes varied by city—Amsterdammers leaned adventurous with coconut, puffed rice, and white chocolate; Rotterdammers stuck to brownie, cookie dough, and Oreo; Eindhoven loved Oreo, strawberry, and white chocolate.
