A cheese sandwich:the perfect soul food for body and mind

Which cheese lover does not know it:the feeling of happiness when you bite into a juicy bread, richly topped with cheese. Whether in the playground, on a family outing or for breakfast – a delicious cheese sandwich always fits and quickly makes you full and satisfied. All the better that it not only tastes good, but can also make you really happy.

Cheese is an indispensable part of our refrigerator and should be on the menu regularly. Nutritionists recommend consuming three servings of milk or dairy products a day. Two white (milk, cottage cheese etc.) and one yellow milk product – eg 2-3 slices of cheese. For example, a glass of milk, a mug of yogurt and two slices of cheese guarantee a protein- and calcium-rich diet all day long. Cheese, in particular, has a very high calcium content and is often of interest to people with lactose intolerance. Due to the ripening process, hard and semi-hard cheeses are usually naturally lactose-free. Calcium is necessary for the maintenance of normal teeth and bones and contributes to normal blood clotting. In addition, dairy products provide protein, vitamins and trace elements – for example, some cheeses contain zinc, which helps to maintain normal skin and hair.

To really do something good for yourself, you have to pay attention to quality and ingredients. Cheese produced without genetic manipulation, artificial additives and preservatives provides original enjoyment and is ideal as a daily portion of cheese.

Can a cheese sandwich put you in a good mood?

It is said that cheese can even improve mood – because what many don't know:Not only a piece of chocolate, but also a piece of cheese can make you feel happy. Cheese, like chocolate, is one of the foods high in tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, which is the basis for the synthesis of serotonin and its release in the brain. Serotonin not only improves mood, but also increases the ability to concentrate. So that tryptophan controls the blood-brain barrier, a carbohydrate-rich food is recommended with cheese. However, the link between cheese and the release of happiness hormones has not yet been clearly scientifically proven. However, one thing is certain:it tastes good and offers cheese connoisseurs every reason to be happy.
