It is well known, tastes and colors are not discussed... but then in terms of pastry can we (really) afford everything? In some cultures, the answer is YES! It is therefore not surprising to find in China, the United States or elsewhere desserts made from tree leaves, pasta, bacon or even beer. Whether it is tasty and digestible is another question that we will not risk answering.
